HUNGER
Stranded for the night in a foreign city, Saul (Daniel Betts) is a businessman who’s given up on all his hopes for the future, in his own words he is ‘existing, not living’. When the city proves hostile, dangerous and confusing, Saul retreats into its labyrinthine backstreets, where a chance encounter with a mysterious and seductive woman (Nadia Cameron-Blakey) seems to offer an escape… but the woman, it seems, has quite different plans for him.

Filmed on the streets of Zagreb, Croatia, “Hunger” is an ambitious short film horror/thriller, and a co-production between Flame47 Ltd and Croatian production house Mainframe Films.

THE MAPMAKER
When Rowan and Isabel return to the coastline where they spent a blissful summer, almost fifty years before, it’s with a very different purpose. Isabel is dying; she wants it to be here, now. As darkness falls, their past collides with the present and Rowan is called upon to make a sacrifice that will preserve their unity forever. Passionate, searing and poetic “The Mapmaker” examines a life and love that, just like all of ours, is all too fleeting.

SOUNDS OF LIFE
An old man (George) sits on a flight of antiquated stone steps in the middle of nowhere, as an endless crowd surges past him. Where the crowd is headed is unclear. Who the old man waits for, we don’t know. But, as familiar faces emerge from the crowd, one by one, each seeking to persuade, seduce and finally to force the old man to join them, what we do know is that all is not as it appears to be. Increasingly determined not to move, not to give in to temptation, we begin to suspect that what the old man’s clinging to might just be life itself.
